I hold dual doctoral degrees in Computer Science and in Informatics & Automatics, with a specialization in Machine Learning. My research program is centered on several interrelated themes:
- Generative AI: Design and development of advanced deep learning architectures, with applications spanning healthcare, knowledge representation and understanding, as well as security and privacy.
- AI Security & Privacy: Investigation of methods for building secure and privacy-preserving AI systems, including federated learning, adversarial robustness, and the integration of cryptographic techniques.
- Responsible AI: Advancement of principled AI development through fairness, transparency, and accountability, incorporating explainability, bias mitigation strategies, and ethical considerations.
I currently serve as a Senior Scientist at HRI-EU, where I actively contribute to both foundational and applied research initiatives. In addition, I am a Visiting Researcher at IAD, Dong-A University, and an Honorary Member of ICSS, University of Kent, England. I welcome opportunities for academic collaboration and interdisciplinary research; colleagues and prospective collaborators are encouraged to reach out via email to discuss potential joint work.
