I hold dual doctoral degree in Computer Science and in Informatics & Automatics, with a specialization in Machine Learning. My research program is centered on several interrelated themes:

  • Generative AI: Design and development of advanced deep learning architectures, with applications spanning healthcare, knowledge representation and understanding, as well as security and privacy.
  • AI Security & Privacy: Investigation of methods for building secure and privacy-preserving AI systems, including federated learning, adversarial robustness, and the integration of cryptographic techniques.
  • Responsible AI: Advancement of principled AI development through fairness, transparency, and accountability, incorporating explainability, bias mitigation strategies, and ethical considerations.

I currently serve as a Senior Scientist at HRI-EU, where I actively contribute to both foundational and applied research initiatives. In addition, I am a Visiting Researcher at IAD, Dong-A University, and an Honorary Member of ICSS, University of Kent, England. I welcome opportunities for academic collaboration and interdisciplinary research; colleagues and prospective collaborators are encouraged to reach out via email to discuss potential joint work.

Living with Minds We Made: AI And The Future Of Human Meaning

In addition to my scientific research, I am the author of Living with Minds We Made, a philosophical reflection on artificial intelligence and the human condition. The book examines how AI reveals enduring questions about intelligence, freedom, creativity, work, privacy, and meaning, arguing that the central challenge of the AI era is not only technological progress but a deeper understanding of what it means to be human.
